Well thought I would update everyone on how the kitties are doing. I ended up taking Henry to my regular vet. He thought it looked more like the herpes virus. He said if it was calici it was very mild. He did give him antibiotics with a shot, suggested lysine, and checked him out. I had taken him back in since he was still not completely better after 12 days. We also discussed George who from the day I got him has had an occasional sneeze and occasional discharge/or sneezing fit. We are trying the lysine with him also since it always comes back. Mimi of course is still taking the allergy medicine.

So.. here is the update.

Henry is all better and happy as can be.

George hasnt had a sneezing fit in a while and it must of either been the litter or the treats he was allergic to cause since I stopped the treats and changed the litter there have been no more problems with him pulling the hair out around his tail.

Mimi's breathing is completley clear.

And best of all they are all getting along great. Smile I think them being seperated when Henry was sick was actually good. gave the other two a chance to relax about him being in the house.
That's all wonderful news!! What a relief it must be to have them all well at the same time!! Now...get busy taking some pictures -- we need to see them all!!
Vicky , That is great new ! You must be feeling so much better, time to relax and enjoy.
Great news of your kitties being well once more... it's so worrying when they are not well...
congratulations it must be such a relief , I agree we need some new photos of these gorgeous babies they must have grown abit now.
Vicky, that is wonderful news. I am so glad things are getting better.Smile
Now that the vet feels that Henry does have herpes, have you discussed the paste called Enisyl-F? It has lysine, as well as other ingredients used to help keep herpes in remission. It comes in an easy to use paste, that most cats are supposed to enjoy the taste of it. I don't really know if it helps "more" than just lysine. I know it has worked well for my Dad's cat, as well as his ex's cats, who started off with only lysine and switched.
I have to mimic the others....PICTURES!!Big Grin
