Blue to Blue matings, usually only produce blues, but it is possible to have a lilac in the mating, if the gene is carried in both parents.

I can't imagine a Pet Store giving registration papers. What organization can the cat be registered with? Is there a cattery prefix? If you did get a registration slip, has any boxes been checked, either "not for show", or "not for breeding"?
It is a good idea to find a mentor to help you along the way, and answer questions that will come up. I have only been breeding over 5 years, and I am still learning.
Jan, it may be best for this person to have a Ragdoll mentor, just to help with learning color/pattern genetics, and if they plan on showing, someone to help them to know what is involved with that.
I have went into pet stores before, and it is hard not leave with a kitten or puppy, they are usually kept in small cages, and not socialized or exercised enough. The pet stores around us, I feel it would almost be a rescue effort, due to the poor condition of the animals.
That being said, I stay away from pet stores, as I don't want to feel guilty leaving the animals there, and I will not support a pet store. I do not feel there is a reputable breeder of cats or dogs that would ever want to see their animals in a pet store.

Opps no I was being a little smart, I was just wondering why you would want to put a blue point to a blue point because unless as said both parents carried Chocolate then you would only get more blue points
I am in Australia and would love to know who the cat came from, Just because its not desexed does not mean it is ment to be bred with
I think the colorful litter was a sarcastic remark

lol
Breeding is so much work!! Sometimes I wonder WHY I do it!! Kittens are adorable but they drive me crazy with their constant running about and getting into everything lol. Its a fun, heartbreaking, rewarding, and hair-pulling experience that not all cats need. Breeding a cat is not about putting cat A with cat B.. its about genetics, heritage, and having a goal in mind. Breeding to have pet-quality kittens is not a good enough reason to breed. ... striving to have the best of the best for yourself on the other hand is a good goal to have.
i dont think i could breed i love raggies dearly and think i would be a blubbering wreck all the time
cry when they get pregnant
cry when the babies are born
worry that they are all okay
andd cry some more when they leave
its bad enough having kids at least you get 18 or so years before they leave home!!
he he he xx
