Hi fellow Raggie lovers,
Im a little confused by Wilsons behaviour, so Im hoping someone can shed some light on the situation for me.

I have a a 6yr old female Cairn terrier ( Shelby )who sleeps on a large cushion on the floor in our bedroom ( she had a large operation this year and needed company, so she ended up in our room! ) Anyway.............Wilson and Shelby dont really have any type of friendship or relationship at all, in fact they dont even acknowledge each other EVER.
Now for the weird part. When Shelby goes outside in the morning to wee, Wilson runs to get on her bed and he goes into some kind of strange trance and rolls and pushes his face into her bed for ages before he finally exhausts himself and falls asleep there. When Shelby comes back inside to go back to bed ( she likes to sleep in ) she wont get Wilson off of her bed but she will sit next to it looking at him.

Wondering if anyone out there is a cat/dog whisperer and knows what is going on here?

thanks Rachael
THATS FUNNY, SORRY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WILSON IS THINKING .
Maybe Wilson just likes the warmth, smell, or feel of the bed ?
Do you think Wilson's trying to rub his face on it to get his smell there and takeover the bed permanently? Moe will plop himself down on Jensen's bed (our golden retriever) and look at Jensen as if to say "you want your bed back, well I don't think so!". Jensen is like your Shelby and will just look at him or us until we do something about it...especially at night when he's ready to sleep!
Seems like a bit of a power play over the bed. Wilson is rubbing her scent into the bed. When Jensen comes back in she doesnt run off the bed but stays put and Jensen kindly waits it out. Sibling rivalry and power dominance thing happening. Perhaps 2 bed-cushions by your side for each pet?

I am thinking it is a way of him leaving his scent on the bed, but I also wonder if perhaps Wilson likes Shelby more than he is letting on. When he has finished his little ritual of rolling he absolutley stinks of Shelby!.
Its very comical to watch Big Grin

I know George loves to sleep in the dogs bed too. I never really thought about it tho. Just figured he thought it was comfy. Althought, I dont know about all the other stuff Wilson is doing. He certainly is a beautiful kitty tho Smile
