As some of you know I have only just started my diploma, for one of my first set of assignments, i need to do a graphite pencil piece of a short haired black dog. I'm going to ask it we could do a DSH black cat, I do see why we can't.
There can't be any white in the dog or cat.
I would like to do a piece which meant something to somebody rather than just picking from internet ref.
So Im asking for a good quality, (has do be good quality) copyright free short haired/coat black (no white or colour) dog. Maybe cat (I need to ask).
I am only asking on this forum,
the original would then be given away for free (just postage would need to be covered) when I have finished the course or sooner if my tutor didn't need to see the original.
If I am allowed to do a cat, and it was good enough to be used as part of my collection, then the sender would get a free print ( just postage to be paid) As might need the original to enter for competitions or exhibitions.

I will use this one if no one has one which is good enough. (So cute)

It has to have a much detail when gray scaled as this one above.
This is one which has been supplied for the next part of the course which we have no choice in and have to draw.
I will starting this on Monday 23rd so need pics by this friday if possible.
Once again thank you for you help
It has to be a dog!
I was wondering why we had to do two dogs, and I think I have just sussed why! We have been looking at tonal values of colour and we have to draw this using one pencil, no eraser or blending tools!!! Just use varying pressure to achieve the right tones.
The second dog looks like a Chocolate Lab to me! I think this is some kind of trick to see if we achieve the tonal differences
