I mean Annie and Albert are both cats - both Raggies. Of course, she is 7 1/2 years old and he is 16 weeks old. The point of my question - he continues to challenge her. Chasing her, actually running up sideways to her (I have to admit that is funny) and when he does this she stops in her tracks and hisses like crazy.
Shouldn't she understand that he is a baby and just wants to have fun, and shouldn't he understand that she just doesn't want to play with him?

She is actually fine with him in the room, just doesn't want to be his best friend.

Getting to know you...........

Hoping that you are getting to like me............

This post just made me laugh. How anyone couldn't love that little Albert is beyond me. At least they can be in the same room together. Maybe you need another kitten to be Albert's play companion.
LOL Teresa, another kitty Smile I think they are establishing their relationship, Annie being the resident cat wants him to know this is HER house, Albert just wants to have fun hehe. We've noticed with multiple cats that the dynamics can change, some days everyone is content and other times there is chasing, tumbling, even a bit of hissing to see who can climb the social heirarchy. Usually this is instigated by mischievous Jack, the youngest and yet to be put in his place Tongue
Ablert is so cute...Annie "has to" come around.
He sure is a cutie! and he has that mischevious yet innocent twinkle in his eye. Smile
Give it time, they are working on their song:

Getting to know you,
Getting to know all about you.
Getting to like you,
Getting to hope you like me.
OH, Little Albert you certainly have the looks of a charmer and I'm sure in time
you will learn the right notes to charm your big sis Annie into loving you.
Ha Ha I was going to ask how you kept all those pretty decorations around with little Albert lol
I am missing the bottom 3 ft of my tree so far
It will take time for Annie - my Katie is still after 2 years learning the raggies of course I threw the two younger ones in the mix this summer (MRune has had the most luck with Katie)
Believe me, I am going thru the same thing. Kasia is 14 months old and Beau is 16 weeks old and he's been with us 3 weeks now. They are
just starting to warm up. It took one week for Kasia to stop hissing. Another week before she quit body slamming Beau to the ground. Now
they seem to fight equally and she cries for him when she can't find him.
Little Albert is so adorable, hope Annie gets to see it that way too!
It's a bit like that with my gang too. some days they're licking each other, but Cody is still so playful and I find him chasing the other two. I'll hear one of the girls hissing at him and sometimes he just resorts to having a romp with the dog rather, Tuppy seems to enjoy it!Smile
