After you add a second ragdoll to your home, do you feel done, or do you start thinking about three? That would be bad. I am wondering if it's just that one doesn't feel like enough? What stops one from becoming a crazy cat lady/man? lol

For me it's kind of a perception thing. We have two dogs and a cat. Two dogs and two cats does sort of seem excessive- especially with three kids. But the day will come when we will add another. Of course, I really want a Norwich Terrier too, but one dog will have to have passed along first.
I had just one cat for about 6 years. When he died, I got two ragdolls. Now I can't imagine having just one cat in the house (I do have an outdoor moggie that came to live here last year - a stray). I won't add another in the house (or outdoors) - two is enough for me. I'm really not even tempted to get a third.
The amount of cats does not equate to the amount of work. Therefore two is not double the work of keeping one. Since I am a small family cattery I have 1 male and 4 girls and am at my max due to the size limitation of my house and the number of rooms. If I had the time and space I would add another one or two.Smile
As much as I adore Nikita who will always be daddys special girl I couldnt stop at one, Wink
My thoughts "at the moment" are staying with two,

We now have two beautiful Raggies that are now best friends, one Seal and one with the Blues,(our two favourite colourings)
We have A girl and a boy so beautiful all round really,

Another big reason for getting our second was to give Nikita company when we are at work,
I dont know if it happens in the cat world but wonder if the "twos company, threes a crowd" thing could come in,
I would hate to think one was being left out or less favoured by the other two, Sad

Edited to add, Watching them interact, love and snuggle is just the best.
I have three, and # three came to us because nobody wanted him. He is the most loveable, joyous kitty and I'm so happy to have him.

We have four indoor and three outdoor (strays) that we take care of.

If you can afford to care for them properly....why not??????
We just got our second so... Give us a few months Big Grin
We were just talking today about how our second has been the best thing we did,

Nikita would be so lost now without her little friend Toby,
Nikita has always been happy of course but she just seems that little bit more content now,
I feel she is better enjoying her days when we are at work all day,

Nikita has just been the perfect mother figure come big sis and friend to Toby,
She is looking out for him continually and if Toby meows, Niki investigates to make sure he is ok,

Paul and Gregg, Dolly will be the same, she seems the purrfect mum and big sis to Maddy,
we have 2, Indi and Jett and we are getting another one at the end of december its my christmas/birthday present from my other half so yeh we will be owned by 3 gorgeous raggies soon Smile it will be 2 females and 1 male Smile so the females in the house will still out number the males hahaha I cant wait to get my new baby Smile oh and if all goes well with Indi being breed last week we hopefully will have some kittens middle of january so the house will be full of gorgeous ragdolls Smile

Oh yeah... she already is! She follows her everywhere and has even started trying to clean her. we caught her licking her ears and head a few times.
But Maddy is so small she's still too young to really play and Dolly bounces around her, patting her on the back trying to entice her to play. When I took out the stick with feathers and a bell on the end, (Dolly's first and favorite toy for a long time), Maddy didn't seem to know what to do and Dolly just sat and watched. Eventually she started swatting at the feathers and then Maddy did. So, Dolly then attacked the Feathers and sat back and sure enough, Maddy then attacked them!
I'm sure once Maddy is a bit older, they will be running and playing all over... so a Second Cat was, so far a great decision!
I have 2 raggies (brothers) and 1 himalayan. I must confess I often think I should get another raggie. There is no reason why we need another one, I guess I figure 4 cats is a good round number. LOL! They are just such nice, loving cats, it just makes sense to want more. Smile
