Hi Julie,
I dont know much about the Van markings except it is caused by the white spot gene I believe,
Thats why little Toby has his cute white ear tips,
I think he is going to have beautiful unique markings as Teresa said,
I also believe there is suggestion in the wind of having "Van Marked" sections in Ragdoll cat shows soon?
Maybe one of the lovely breeders may be able to explain the Van better with more detail

They are so adorable together, and its great to see Nikita's in love with him already!
His blue eyes are so beautiful, so deep.
I havent seen a blue van before, so am looking forward to seeing him grow and get even more beautiful (if thats possible!!).
I think you may be able to show a van-marked ragdoll as a Turkish Van at the shows.. I could be completely wrong too, lol, so I will leave you breeders to answer that question.
