I have grown up always having cats I remember one xmas morning when I was 7yrs mum and dad taking us into the laundry eyes closed then when we were told to open them there before us (my brother and I) were two adorable simease kittens with pretty collars and blue eyes we called them Tinkerbell and Penny. They were amazing animals sadly we lost them both a few years later to cars. My next cat was a moggie that adopted us he was a persian he let me do anything and I mean anything from pushing him a dolls pram ,dressing him in clothes or playing catch with a ball. He passed of old age. Over the years when first married my friends joked and called me the cat lady if their was a sick stray cat or kitten to be found it FOUND ME!! i could not keep them all but I have always had cats. Five years ago my husband accidentaly ran over our beloved Thomas a ginger tom he was devasted as we all were. Tom had a bad habitat of sitting under or behind the car and my husband was so distraught he said he never wanted another cat again. In February this year I managed to talk bribe and plead to get a cat as I wanted my kids to experience the joy and so after looking at a few different breeds and seeing a review on the Dr Harry Show (Aussie TV) I found a local breeder and chose Milo.
I never had cats growing up due to allergies in our family. We always had dogs. My husband grew up with cats and they were always drawn to him. We wanted to find a breed of cat that would get along well with dogs and children, and I wanted to make sure we had a breed that was a little less independent than most of the cats I'd met. So after looking into it we thought a Ragdoll would be perfect. Of course, now that we've had Moe for only 10 months I now know what I've been missing! He's just perfect...I love that he and Jensen are both at the door when we come home and I LOVE that Moe cuddles up in bed with me at some point every night. I love his size and his gentle nature...and I hope I'm always loved by one or two!

I had cats my whole life growing up and got my love for cats from my mother who is also a huge cat lover!! When i finally moved out on my own about 5 years ago i have to admit it was nice to not have cat hair all over my house, LOL, but i knew someday id have my own cat. I have always wanted a scottish fold, but couldnt find any breeders in the area. I used to have my own petsitting business years ago and i remembered sitting for these two ragdolls who were just sooo sweet and beautiful so i starting researching them and found a few breeders in my area. After seeing them in person i knew i had to have one and another, and another.....you know how it goes :-)
I got a raggie because I hate(d) cats. lol I am a bred and born dog person and cat people mystified me. We had a cranky old cat for 14 years which I honestly did not like. My husband loved and adored him but I swear he hated everyone. When he died I figured we were done with cats but hubby likes them (how did we get past the first date??) So I figured if we are going to get a cat it better bloody well be one I can like. My research led me to ragdolls and here we are. I really love Dude. He's hilarious and brings a lot to our whole family. Even my boys (who inherited my anti-cat genes) love him. It's a miracle!
