Paul's posting made me wonder about our situation with Nicky and Cassie as well....
We brought Cassie home just over a month ago (she is now one-year-old). There hasn't been any hissing, growling, ears going back or any signs of aggression since we've given her free reign of the house. Where I am puzzled however, is that Cassie will approach Nicky (our eight-year-old) real sweetly. He then starts to lick her head, but after a couple of minutes of that, she will bite his neck! Obviously he does not like this and then a fight starts. It happens probably about every other day or so. Cassie does the same thing when she wants to boot Nicky out of his warm and cozy sleeping spot, whether it be on our bed, or his actual cat bed (she has one too - she would just rather have whichever one that he is in at the moment).
I'm puzzled because it seems that they get along really well and then the scuffle will start. Any advise as to what's going on and how I might best put an end to this?
