I was in Petco tonight getting cat food and I found DaBird that I've read about on here. A bit ago I got it out for them to chase.

Well it seems it was a bit too realistic for Casey. A couple of times he caught it, and hung onto it for dear life...and GROWLED!

So we didn't play for long. He did get lots of exercise leaping into the air to try to get it.
I rehomed Da Bird with a friend. Rags went thru many of them when he was little. I then kind of forgot about it and one day I got it out. Beau dug his claws into the carpet, grabbed da bird and growled at everyone telling them "It's MINE!". I decided with 4 of them that I didn't want to promote that and they have a lot of other toys they love. It certainly did give them good exercise. The also love the fabric wand toys and definitely the laser light. It is such a hoot to watch them chase that little red dot around.

Kasia has started clucking noise like a bird or chicken when I get it out. It's hilarious. In fact.. she's bothering me, because she knows
it about time for Da Bird to make its appearance. We get a little exercise every night with it. Smile
This was always the favorite toy here & both mine would catch it and clench it in their mouths while growling Tongue now they arent as interested, i get it out about once a week & they play alittle.
You know you have a hit toy when they growl possessively. (I have never seen it escalate to a real fight.) They also will do that, very young, with the George mouse.
What is the George mouse? I only recently found Da Bird here at a huge pet store near the airport called Pisces Pet Emporium. I spent 3 hours there that day...security was following me suspiciously so I had to leave...Shy
Da Bird thieves are renowned for their cunning so security is ever watchfulWink
I had no idea this type of thievery was so common. Next time I'll wear a disguise. You know, wear clothes that have no cat hair on them...Big Grin
BTW Da Bird was a smashing hit around here. Tiki keeps crying and trying to draw me up to bed to play with it... the boys have played with it the past few evenings and then they sack out for the night.
Da bird is excellent fun! It never fails to get them moving Big Grin
