Here is the story to learn from...
Kittens were supposed to go to new home last and this weekend. One kitten, Toby, which is a show boy, should have gone too but we agreed with his new owner that we will keep him for 2 weeks until he can actually go to the show to see that he handles show hall fine.
He just turned 3 month and is signed up as exhibition only for the large busy show in a 1.5 weeks.
I came home and he is running around the house happy as it can be. I am upstairs when cats had something "spooky" going on - you know how one gets spooked, runs, everybody follows, noise, runs falling objects - who knows why... so little Tobias gets spooked but instead of running with everybody - he just turns towards banister, jumps on it and ... flies off the second floor down to the first (even more so as he flew off the banister down one floor)- hardwood floors, I can hear loud thump as he is landing on his head and front paws.
I ran downstairs but cant find him - he was hiding under the couch. He is a very outgoing kitten and is not afraid of anything - but it took forever to get him out... he seemed to have sore front paws but was not limping - hissed at me a little and started to purr. Nothing is broken, nothing seems to be off - guess head got bumped a bit but in about 30 min he was his usual self...
That was scary!
